AI-Augmented Development (4+ years)

We're looking for a Software Engineer who builds software that helps large buildings reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, and who uses AI coding as a core part of their development workflow. You'll take ownership of what you ship — from understanding product and business requirements through to shipping in production and ensuring traction and satisfaction.

If you treat AI coding tools as your primary development environment, have sharp code-review instincts, and care about why something is being built and not just how — we want to talk to you.

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a solid foundation in Python and web technologies

• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) in a real project environment

• Experience with DevOps fundamentals: Docker, CI/CD pipelines

• Strong code review instincts — able to read and critically assess AI-generated code

• Enough product sensibility to ask why something is being built, not just how

• Able to identify what is ambiguous or missing in a requirement before work begins

• Clear, precise oral and written communication

• Organised and methodical in breaking down and sequencing work

• Experience working alongside or within a product team, with an understanding of product development concepts

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (diploma holders with a strong, demonstrable track record will also be considered)

• Strong interest in sustainability, energy, or climate-related domains
